If yours isn't here, get in touch. We're happy to talk through anything before you book.
Book a free 15-minute meet and greet, or send us an email at hartwyntutoring@gmail.com. Email is great if you'd like to share more background about your child first. You'll then speak with Holly, who'll recommend the right tutor. If it feels like a good fit, you book your first session.
Sessions run online via Google Meet. Your child joins a video call with their tutor for one hour. The tutor shares their screen, works through exam-style questions, and gives live feedback throughout. After every lesson, you receive a written summary of what was covered and what to focus on next.
Yes. Every Hartwyn tutor holds a degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). They've all taught in schools and understand GCSE mark schemes from the inside. Holly, the founder, is a former AQA English Language examiner.
1-to-1 sessions are £45 per hour. Small group sessions (up to 6 students) are £20 per hour per student. The initial 15-minute meet and greet is free. Invoices are sent weekly through Square.
GCSE English Language, English Literature, and Maths. We cover AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas, and iGCSE exam boards. Our tutors work with KS3, Year 10, Year 11, and resit students.
1-to-1 sessions are fully personalised to your child's needs, pace, and weak spots. Group sessions (max 6 students) cover the same core content but in a shared setting where students learn from each other's questions and answers. Both include the same qualified tutors and post-session parent updates.
No contracts and no minimum number of sessions. Most families book weekly and stay because it works, not because they're locked in. You can pause or stop at any time.
Yes. Our tutors are experienced with a range of SEN needs and exam access arrangements including extra time, rest breaks, and modified papers. Tell us about your child's needs during the meet and greet and we'll match them with the right tutor.
We'll recommend a tutor based on subject, exam board, and personality. During the free meet and greet you'll talk through what your child needs and we'll match them. If it doesn't click, we'll try someone else. The team is small, so every match is personal.
A laptop or tablet with a camera, a microphone, and an internet connection. Sessions run on Google Meet. Your child doesn't have to put their camera on if they'd rather not.
We understand that children get ill, as do we. We ask for 1 hour's notice to cancel a session. If you're late for a lesson, we'll wait 15 minutes before logging off, and the session will still be charged for.
